About The Position

The Bus Route Monitor supervises students during transport for a morning route and afternoon route. The Bus Route Monitor will work closely with the transportation director and bus route driver to accomplish these tasks.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to supervise students to support and encourage appropriate and responsible behavior
• Ability to ensure all activities conform to District guidelines.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively and cooperatively with members of the school district and community.
• Ability to react to change and frequent interruptions in a productive and positive manner, meeting deadlines as assigned.
• Ability to work to implement the vision and mission of the District.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during bus route.
• Encourage responsible behavior.
• Observe and follow all school district policies at all times.
• Respond to information requests in a cooperative, courteous, and timely manner.
• Implement and follow all District health and safety policies including all precautions of the Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan.
• Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned by the building principal.
