About The Position

Responsible for cleaning and resetting tables, monitoring tables for customer needs and duties requested by supervisory personnel, in an efficient courteous manner displaying a high standard of customer services. This role is crucial for maintaining a pleasant dining experience for guests by ensuring tables are clean, set, and ready for new customers. The Bus Person also assists Food Servers, maintains restaurant cleanliness, and supports overall operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • One to three months related experience and/or training.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Team Members of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Regular and consistent attendance record.
  • Exhibit the highest degree of professionalism, including appearance, attendance, reliability, teamwork, ethics, integrity, and comply with all governing policies and procedures.
  • Employ positive and professional communication skills and exercise professional interpersonal abilities (tact, diplomacy, and respect) with guest and co-workers at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Clears all tables and resets them for new seating in accordance with venue standards.
  • Approaches newly seated customers and serves them bread, butter, water, etc.
  • Assists Food Servers in serving customers throughout their meal.
  • Observes customers for any requests for service and clears dishes after customers are finished eating.
  • Maintains a clean, neat eating area for customers.
  • Maintains compliance with all regulations of health and sanitation standards, and applicable federal, state, and local laws/ordinances.
  • Maintains applicable food safety certification.
  • Performs as a team member with venue Host, Supervisors, Food Servers, and Kitchen Staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Assists with Food Runners and Dishwashers as needed.
  • Helps maintain restaurant cleanliness.
  • Maintains a cleanliness of all side stations and stocks them.
  • Performs any reasonable request made by management.
  • Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members.
  • Performs excellent customer service at all times.
