About The Position

As a Transportation Specialist, you'll provide essential support by transporting children and parents enrolled in agency programs safely and promptly. You will serve as a positive role model for children, parents, and the public, acting as an integral part of children's educational experience. Responsibilities also include delivering food and program supplies/equipment to appropriate sites, supporting program operations with light maintenance tasks, assisting in classrooms when needed, building positive relationships with families and children, maintaining vehicle safety and cleanliness standards, following all federal and state transportation regulations, and supporting diverse program needs through flexible task completion. Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Wisconsin driver's license
  • Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
  • Excellent 5-year driving history with less than 7 points on driving abstract
  • Successfully pass drug tests as mandated by federal law
  • Meet insurance underwriter's driving record requirements
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Strong customer service skills
