Bus Delivery Driver - Part-Time
About The Position
Midwest Transit Equipment seeks a part-time Bus Delivery Driver for its Gary, Indiana location. The driver works with the delivery team to increase customer satisfaction by safely making complete, accurate, and on-time deliveries to company customers. The driver represents the company professionally, safely, and cost-effectively while complying with Department of Transportation (DOT) and other applicable regulations. The role may also involve assisting with parts deliveries as needed. Midwest Transit Equipment has operated for over 50 years and emphasizes honesty, integrity, quality vehicles, exceptional service, affordable prices, and attention to detail. Requirements
- Clean driving record.
- Valid Class B driver's license with Passenger, School Bus, and Air-Brake endorsements.
- Ability to comply with Department of Transportation standards.
Responsibilities
- Safely deliver complete, accurate, and on-time deliveries to company customers.
- Operate buses in accordance with established safety procedures and applicable DOT standards and regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Fuel the bus as needed.
- Prepare and maintain records in accordance with DOT standards and regulations.
- Assist with parts delivery as needed.
- Represent the company in a professional, safe, and cost-effective manner.
