About The Position
Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania seeks energetic School Bus and School Van Attendants for our Transportation department. Full-time and part-time positions are available to assist with the transport of preschool children with special needs to and from our school locations. The Attendant positions involve Monday through Friday for scheduled days of programs during the school year plus a 6-week summer program.
Requirements
- High School diploma/GED required
- Applicants are required to pass Easterseals and Philadelphia School District required clearances
- Applicants are required to pass pre-employment drug testing and alcohol screening
Nice To Haves
- Prior School Bus Attendant experience
- Prior Childcare Aide experience
- Experience with the special needs population
Responsibilities
- Assisting pre-school aged students with disabilities entering and exiting the school bus
- Ensuring their safety before and during transportation
- Adhering to all required guidelines
- Building rapport and trust with the students
