About The Position
A School Bus Monitor is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and proper conduct of students while they are being transported to and from school or school-related activities. Working closely with the bus driver, the monitor helps maintain order on the bus, assists students with boarding and exiting safely—especially young children or those with disabilities—and ensures that students are seated and behaving appropriately during the ride. They may also help with emergency evacuations, manage student conflicts, and report incidents or behavioral issues to school authorities. Strong communication skills, patience, and a commitment to child safety are essential qualities for this role.
