Responsibilities
- Monitor student behavior, enforce rules, and maintain an orderly environment during transit.
- Assist passengers boarding and exiting the vehicle, including operating wheelchair lifts, ramps, and securement systems.
- Properly fasten 5 Point harnesses, Safety Vests, and wheelchair tie-downs according to specific safety protocols.
- Respond to behavioral changes, medical episodes (such as seizures), or emergencies, and assist with bus evacuation procedures as outlined by guidelines.
- Coordinate with bus drivers, parents, transportation, and school staff regarding student needs or behavioral incidents.
- Complete daily medicaid sheets, seating charts, and incident reports.
