About The Position

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a 3rd shift Bun Line Chop Saw Operator at our Conover, NC manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for the operation of numerous types of equipment used in the manufacture of foam products. The position maintains daily communication with Quality Control, Department Manager/Supervisor, and all department personnel to ensure customer needs are met through the manufacture of polyurethane foam products using a chop saw to produce finished goods. The role operates in a normal manufacturing environment with exposure to temperature changes.

Requirements

Experience operating a saw cutting machine is preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment required.
Good communication and advanced math skills.
Must be forklift certified or experience with sit down forklifts.
Must be able to read and interpret a tape measure.
Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays and call-in with little notice.
Must be able to lift master roll up onto the cutting table up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work with little or no supervision.

Responsibilities

Operation of numerous types of equipment used in the manufacture of foam products.
Operation of a chop saw to produce finished products.
Daily communication with Quality Control, Department Manager/Supervisor, and all department personnel.
Assists with inventory, as required.
Other duties as assigned by management.
