About The Position

Crystal Clean is hiring a Bulk Vacuum Truck Driver Representative to provide sales and service for approved waste streams at automotive and industrial businesses. The role involves using hoses to load and offload oil tanker trucks and vacuum trucks from various containers, waste storage units, trenches, and subterranean holding chambers. The representative may also be required to perform responsibilities of the TSSR and AFSR positions. Attendance at the branch is required for the duration of the standard work week; weekly schedules are determined at the Regional Manager’s discretion. Complete training is provided. Compensation consists of a weekly base salary plus uncapped commission, with average annual earning potential of $80,000–$100,000. Actual earnings vary by performance and location and may be outside that range.

Requirements

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to interact with customers, sales branch employees, and other corporate departments.
Ability to operate mobile phones, scanners, computers, and similar equipment.
Ability to maintain a valid Class B CDL with all required endorsements.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have or be qualified to obtain a Class B CDL with HazMat/Tanker endorsement; Class B CDL with endorsements preferred.
Valid driver’s license.
Clean motor vehicle record with no major violations, such as DUI, cell phone violations, or failure to wear a seatbelt.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including a respirator; required PPE includes steel-toe boots, gloves, uniform, safety glasses, reflective vest, and hard hat.
Ability to lift hoses weighing up to 55 pounds frequently; climb ladders frequently; and lift grates, manhole covers, and other plates frequently.
Ability to occasionally pull or drag hoses weighing up to 55 pounds and maintain a firm grip and control of hoses during pumping, including when vacuum pumps cause movement or kickback.
Must pass a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol screening.
Ability to perform duties involving frequent bending, squatting, and twisting, and to see, talk, hear, reach, stand, walk, drive, and use office and mobile equipment.

Nice To Haves

Previous sales experience is highly desirable.
Minimum one year of Crystal Clean route sales experience is preferred.
Class B CDL with endorsements preferred.

Responsibilities

Work safely in all job aspects and functions, and promote safety and efficiency among employees and activities.
Provide customer service and develop new business in an assigned geographic area.
Pump approved waste streams from customer containers into trucks.
Vacuum approved waste streams from customer container units into trucks.
Align work orders to minimize mileage and travel time.
Inspect vehicles and equipment for safe operation.
Assess potential customer needs, present company products and services, and develop new customers.
Develop sales leads for Data-Marketing.
Complete required paperwork accurately and neatly.
Maintain a D.O.T. driving log.
Follow corporate policies and standards, including environmental and regulatory, human resources, facility, equipment, operations, and maintenance requirements.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Attend the branch for the duration of the standard work week.
