About The Position

AES Drilling Fluids is seeking Bulk Plant Operators in Kermit, Texas. This position is responsible for safely and promptly unloading bulk dry and liquid products from rail cars into storage vessels and loading products into trucks for customer delivery. Operators use transloading equipment, maintain equipment and blowers, and help keep the facility safe and clean. The role follows a 14-days-on, 7-days-off schedule with 12-hour shifts rotating between days and nights. Starting pay is $26.75 per hour, plus overtime and bonuses. The employer seeks local candidates and does not offer relocation or employment visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical fitness test and drug screen.
• Willingness to work additional hours during the week and/or on weekends.
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts every other month or as required.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift operator certification, or the ability to obtain certification.
• Experience unloading rail cars with bulk dry material or liquid products; experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to assist with office duties, including computer and telephone skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely and promptly unload bulk dry and liquid products from rail cars into facility storage vessels.
• Operate, or learn to operate, transloading equipment safely and productively.
• Load bulk trucks from top-loading silos and liquid bulk trucks from storage tanks.
• Perform general maintenance and upkeep on equipment and blowers.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment by cleaning up waste or spilled product and following company procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Keep accurate, orderly records of products received and disbursed.
• Maintain ongoing communications with the office, management, and fellow personnel.
• Perform duties safely in accordance with company procedures and applicable safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager and/or Assistant Warehouse Manager.
