About The Position

Kleysen’s Bulk team is seeking an experienced Class 1 professional driver to join our Winnipeg-based fleet for a permanent designated assignment. This role will primarily involve end dump container work, with occasional alternate bulk work. The ideal candidate will be physically fit and capable of performing duties such as cleaning end dump containers, applying poly liners, and rolling of container tarps. Our Winnipeg Bulk Team hauls dry bulk goods using B-train pneumatics, hoppers and end dumps. Our various runs and assignments consist of regional work in Winnipeg, and daily highway runs. We are looking for drivers who can accept occasional highway assignments but still be home daily. The loads include, but are not limited to, dry cement products, salt, scrap metal (end dump) and other general dry bulk materials. When there is no city work to be completed, the successful driver may have to do linehaul loads as needed by Kleysen.

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 driver’s license with satisfactory abstract.
• Clean shaven or a willingness to shave (respirators are mandatory with some customers).
• Tractor Trailer driving experience.
• Good physical condition and able to work in all weather.
• Ability to work longer shifts with possible overtime.
• Ability to wear all standard PPE (safety boots, CSA approved hard hat, safety vest, etc.).
• A great attitude and are safety minded and customer service oriented.

Nice To Haves

• Super B experience is an asset.
• Dry or liquid bulk experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform end dump container work.
• Perform occasional alternate bulk work.
• Clean end dump containers.

• Perform linehaul loads as needed by Kleysen when no city work is available.
