About The Position

We're looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented Building Trades Craftsperson to join our team at Carrollwood Farms. In this role, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our farm by maintaining our facilities, equipment, and overall safety. You'll be responsible for a variety of tasks, including carpentry, fence repair, equipment operation, and general maintenance.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction, carpentry, or a related field.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
Strong knowledge of arithmetic and basic geometry, with the ability to apply them to practical tasks.
Ability to work safely at elevated heights.
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to safety.
Ability to lift and maneuver materials up to 70 lbs.
Ability to bend, kneel, twist, and perform various physical tasks throughout the workday.
Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain farm facilities and structures through carpentry repairs and upkeep.
Assist with fence repair and maintenance, including staining and dipping lumber.
Participate in fire watch and other safety protocols as needed.
Operate designated farm equipment for various tasks.
Identify potential safety hazards and take corrective action to minimize risks.
Assist with a variety of tasks as directed by supervisors, which may include construction projects, equipment setup, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Other special projects as assigned.
