About The Position

Begin to build your future at HGA! We have an excellent opportunity for a college or graduate school student for a paid summer internship in summer of 2027. The summer internship is typically 12 weeks in length beginning on or before June 1, 2027, through mid-August (depending on your schedule). HGA is a full-service planning and design firm of over 1,000 professionals offering planning, engineering, architecture and interior design services in 12 offices. Requirements

Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Rising junior, senior, or graduate-level students are encouraged to apply.
Familiarity with Revit
Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills, with a desire to learn in a collaborative environment.
A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Preferred fields of study may include Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline, depending on the practice area.

Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation of engineering designs, project solutions, and construction documents.
Support engineering design calculations and analyses under the guidance of licensed professionals.
Research applicable codes, standards, and regulations while collaborating with project teams and public agencies.
Review and analyze reports, drawings, specifications, test results, and other project-related data.
Utilize Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and other engineering software tools to support project deliverables.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to contribute to project success.
Participate in project meetings and gain exposure to multidisciplinary design processes.
Visit construction sites to assist with field observations, information gathering, and documentation, as opportunities arise.
Develop technical, professional, and communication skills through hands-on project experience and mentorship.
