Building Supervisor
About The Position
The YMCA of Greater Erie is seeking a dependable, welcoming, and customer service-focused Building Supervisor for their Downtown YMCA location. This part-time role involves promoting a positive and professional atmosphere, providing excellent customer service, and embodying YMCA values. Responsibilities include greeting members and guests, conducting membership interviews and facility tours, responding to needs, promoting and selling memberships and programs, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the facility. The Building Supervisor acts as the department supervisor in the absence of higher-ranking staff, performs facility maintenance duties, and serves as the primary first responder to security and fire alarms. The role also involves opening and closing the facility according to protocol and providing tours to new members.
Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current CPR Pro (CPR for health care providers and first responders) and First Aid training (for the community and workplace).
- Excellent human relation skills.
- Proficient understanding of facilities maintenance.
- Experience working with the public.
- Patient and able to remain calm when stressed.
