About The Position
Portsmouth School Department is seeking to hire a regular building substitute teacher at Melville Elementary School beginning Oct. 1, 2026 through the end of the 2026-2027 school year. RIDE Certification is not required for this position. Please see additional requirements within this job posting.
Requirements
- Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher, hold an associates’ degree, or have completed a minimum of two years college as part of a four-year degree track in any field
- Must complete a federal criminal background check
- Must provide three letters of reference
- Must attend a mandatory substitute meeting
