About The Position
Portsmouth School Department is seeking to hire a full-year substitute teacher at Hathaway Elementary School. The position begins October 1, 2026, and will continue through the end of the 2026-2027 school year. RIDE Certification is not required for this position. Requirements
- Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher, hold an associates’ degree, or have completed a minimum of two years college as part of a four-year degree track in any field.
- Must complete a federal criminal background check.
- Must provide three letters of reference.
- Must attend a mandatory substitute meeting.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a substitute teacher at Hathaway Elementary School.
