About The Position
Middletown Public Schools is hiring Building Substitutes assigned to a specific school building each weekday, Monday through Friday. Classroom assignments may vary at the Principal’s discretion and according to the school’s needs. The position offers an opportunity to gain classroom experience for aspiring teachers and others interested in working in a school setting. The listed location is Middletown High School. Building Substitutes work Monday through Friday for 182 days. Start and end times depend on the specific school assignment. They are paid only for days worked and are not expected to attend District PDE or conference days unless otherwise notified. The position starts immediately. Candidates are selected on a rolling basis until positions are filled.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Responsibilities
- Work at the assigned school building Monday through Friday.
- Handle classroom assignments that may vary at the Principal’s discretion and according to school needs.

- Select medical insurance is offered to Building Substitutes working more than 30 hours per week.
