About The Position

We are currently seeking the right person to join our hospitality-focused team as a Maintenance Technician otherwise known as a Building Services Technician. Pay starting at $18.00 - 21.00/hour, depending on experience! Full-Time As a Building Services Technician, you will assist the building services team in maintaining the community and the grounds, by providing repairs, renovation work, and routine maintenance as requested. This is not your standard maintenance position – at Touchmark, you have the daily opportunity to build long-term relationships with the wonderful people who call this community “home!”

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have at least one (1) year of experience in a similar environment with strong knowledge of maintenance processes.
• Excellent communication skills, high level of accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Physically capable of turning, stooping, bending, stretching, pushing/pulling, moving equipment and furniture, and able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Willing to learn CPR/First Aid certification.
• Be able to complete and follow the Touchmark Vehicle Safety Program.
• Be able to work both inside and outside year-round.

Nice To Haves

• Education related to building maintenance or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience in building maintenance is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be knowledgeable about and promote environmental safety for yourself and others.
• Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when assisting residents, family members, team members, and visitors.
• Perform repairs, parts run, and preventative maintenance.
