About The Position

The San Diego Unified School District is seeking a Building Services Supervisor III. This is a promotional opportunity open only to current classified monthly-salaried employees of the district. The district is looking for professionals dedicated to students and their communities. The Building Services Supervisor will oversee a custodial staff and be responsible for the upkeep, cleanliness, and sanitary conditions of school facilities, covering between 70,001 and 170,000 square feet.

Requirements

Current classified monthly-salaried employee of the San Diego Unified School District.
Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to twenty months of satisfactory service in the class of Building Services Supervisor/Special Schools, Building Services Supervisor I or II, Senior Custodian Crew Leader, Custodian Crew Leader, or Relief Custodian.

Responsibilities

Acts as working supervisor; coordinate the work of all custodians assigned to the school; plan and assign work schedules.
Supervise the operation of heating, ventilating, and lighting systems.
Order, receive, store, and distribute instructional and custodial supplies.
Assist in conducting in-service training.
Train, supervise, and evaluate the work performance of custodial staff.
Perform special services for school staff, pupils, and the public using school facilities.
Perform related duties as assigned.
