About The Position

Wittenberg Village in Crown Point is hiring a Building Services Manager. As Building Services Manager, you'll oversee maintenance, environmental services, and security staff, keeping the community safe, functional, and welcoming for residents and staff alike. You'll be helping create a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff at Wittenberg Village, a senior living community in Crown Point.

Requirements

2 years of technical or trade school training, or equivalent experience
At least 2 years of supervisory experience
Knowledge of CMS-recognized NFPA 101 Life Safety Code
Strong familiarity with hand and power tools
At least 18 years old
Applicants for this position must be able to produce a negative drug test.
Applicants may be subject to a background check.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily building operations across maintenance, security, and environmental services
Manage team schedules, training, performance evaluations, and recruitment
Maintain compliance with safety standards and applicable codes (NFPA, IDPH)
Coordinate maintenance requests, repairs, inspections, and preventative care
Chair the Safety Committee and collaborate across departments
Serve as the liaison for contractors and oversee facility projects
Participate in on-call rotation and step in for routine maintenance when needed
