About The Position

The Building Services Attendant helps ensure a clean, safe shopping experience for customers and a clean work environment for team members. Duties are performed safely and in accordance with health, sanitation, and safety guidelines. This is an entry-level, part-time hourly position with an estimated pay range of $17–$17.50 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old; no prior experience is required. The role includes cleaning and maintaining store areas and facilities, responding to immediate cleanup needs, restocking supplies, and performing basic maintenance. Attendants also contribute to a welcoming customer experience, support coworkers, follow safety procedures, and represent the store positively in interactions with customers and team members.

Requirements

Able to walk, stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

Keep the store and departments clean and clear of hazards by removing trash, cardboard boxes, and other obstructions.
Clean the sales floor and departments using a floor machine.
Clean and sanitize bathroom facilities, including toilets and sinks, daily.
Clean cafeteria counters, tables, and coffee machines daily.
Restock hand soap, paper products, trash liners, and plastic utensils.
Respond to immediate cleanup needs throughout the store.
Perform basic maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs.
Follow health, sanitation, and safety regulations and procedures.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
Greet customers with a friendly, positive attitude and help them feel welcome and appreciated.
Collaborate with team members and offer assistance and support as needed.
Represent the store positively and help create a memorable shopping experience.
