About The Position

The Building Service Attendant performs a variety of cleaning techniques, including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, and using heavy equipment. The role cleans and services areas at Arnot Health and supports hospital operations by moving and setting up furniture, equipment, and supplies; managing clean and soiled linen processes; and cleaning the Morgue after an autopsy once the major portion has been cleaned. The position is located at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Environmental Services and works 40 hours per week on a day/evening rotation.

Requirements

Must be able to read and understand verbal and written instructions.
Must be able to spend much of the time on their feet and perform reaching, bending, stooping, and lifting.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean and service Arnot Health areas, moving furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around the hospital in an orderly and sanitary manner.
Transport and set up furniture for meetings.
Operate small extractors, floor machines, and small burnishers.
Load linen and microfiber carts and bins to predetermined par levels and complete deliveries at scheduled times.
Complete all functions associated with clean linen processes.
Collect soiled linen and microfiber products from designated areas and deliver them to the soiled holding area.
Complete all functions associated with soiled linen processes.
Clean the Morgue after an autopsy has been performed and the major portion has been cleaned.
