About The Position
This position ensures the safety of personnel, visitors, and property by patrolling premises, controlling access, and responding to incidents. Incumbents will work a maximum of 29 hours per week.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in security detail, either in the public or private sector required.
- Valid Driver’s License
- The ability to work well with others
- The ability to learn and perform basic skills and procedures designated for security personnel
- Knowledgeable of all federal, state, and local laws as well as the facility policies and procedures
- Must be adaptable in changing situations and work assignments.
Nice To Haves
- Prior law enforcement experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Locking/unlocking doors
- Conducting regular foot or vehicle patrols of the interior and exterior grounds to identify security risks
- Monitor entry and exit points of the building
- Writing daily activity and incident reports
- Provide customer service
- Provide security at evening public meetings
