Ivy Tech Madison is seeking a full-time Building and Property Maintenance Technology faculty member to train students for in-demand careers in facility and property maintenance. This role includes delivering hands-on instruction in areas such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general maintenance, while developing practical, industry-aligned curriculum. The ideal candidate brings real-world experience, a safety-first mindset, and a passion for student success. Ivy Tech Madison is looking for an individual to join their team as a full-time faculty member of the School of Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering & Applied Sciences. This position will primarily support the Building and Property Maintenance Technician program by providing instruction to high school pathway students in subjects such as construction, building and property maintenance, electrical, and plumbing. Duties will also include instructing traditional students. The faculty will either have or seek to obtain professional certifications relevant to the courses they teach such as NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) and OSHA-10. An ideal candidate would either have or seek EPA 608 certification and be qualified to teach additional courses in Industrial Technology. They will provide quality and engaging instruction in all delivery methods and formats within specific academic programs; provide timely and meaningful feedback to students regarding the mastery of course and program learning outcomes; engage students outside of class in support of the curriculum and co-curriculum; provide institutional support and community service; participate meaningfully in student retention and completion initiatives; support the College’s mission and strategic plan initiatives; conform to campus expectations of faculty performance and engagement.
