Job Description: Our ideal candidate can oversee multiple estimating projects and building take off's. We're looking for a hard-working and passionate team member to own this role! Our team is dedicated to approaching each project individually and ensuring the best experience for our customers with transparency excellence and integrity at the core. This position is responsible for development construction take off packages for customers ranging from rough-order-of-magnitude level to detailed working cost estimates/designs, guiding selections and presenting the results in a format suitable for use by the client and sales team. We are looking for someone who has excellent people and communication skills and can think outside of the box for creative problem-solving.

Requirements

Relevant training and/or certification with a project cost estimating department or organization and with at least 1 year of experience working in a similar capacity is preferred.
Experience with preparing construction cost estimates is preferred.
Experience with wood truss design and estimating is a plus.
The position must have competence with analysis, numeration, research, the use of spreadsheet and scheduling software (the minimum requirement is proficiency in Excel and experience with database cost estimating software (Smart Build, Eagle, or similar software experience is highly desirable).
Proven experience with organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving in time-sensitive situations.
This position must be able to demonstrate leadership abilities and possess above-average written and oral communication skills.
The ability to work well in a team environment is also essential for this position.
Comprehension of all units of measure, able to convert between various units of measure.
Strong mathematical skills, grounded in algebra, geometry, and simple math.
Computer literacy, computer estimating, complete competency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and estimating software.

Nice To Haves

Experience with wood truss design and estimating is a plus.
experience with database cost estimating software (Smart Build, Eagle, or similar software experience is highly desirable).
