About The Position

The Building Mechanic III is a senior-level facilities maintenance professional responsible for performing advanced troubleshooting, repair, renovation, and preventive maintenance of University buildings, infrastructure, and building systems. This position applies extensive knowledge of plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and general building systems to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex maintenance issues while ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of campus facilities. Working independently with minimal supervision, the Building Mechanic III performs skilled maintenance activities, conducts inspections, supports predictive and preventive maintenance initiatives, and serves as a technical resource and mentor to other maintenance staff. The position interacts regularly with students, faculty, staff, contractors, and visitors and is expected to provide exceptional customer service while supporting the University’s mission and commitment to a safe and welcoming campus environment.

Requirements
