Building Maintenance Mechanic
About The Position
Individual will perform skilled maintenance, installation and repair work on both the buildings and building equipment. Duties include: Making scheduled tests and inspections; Determining necessary work on building equipment and fixtures including but not limited to the HVAC system, plumbing, refrigeration equipment, electrical, lighting systems, compressed air systems, water cooled chillers, and DDC building automation systems. Individuals must be able to perform skilled work in connection with the installation, removal, operations and maintenance of the buildings, building equipment and other related physical plant. Bargaining unit Teal Book employees with contractual rights to this position will be given first consideration.
Requirements
- Five years of related experience in Mechanical / HVAC system maintenance in a Commercial / Industrial environment.
- CT / S-1 or S-2 license required.
Responsibilities
- Perform skilled maintenance, installation, and repair work on buildings and building equipment.
- Conduct scheduled tests and inspections.
- Determine necessary work on building equipment and fixtures, including HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, electrical, lighting systems, compressed air systems, water-cooled chillers, and DDC building automation systems.
- Perform skilled work in installation, removal, operation, and maintenance of buildings, building equipment, and related physical plant.
- Respond to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs as part of an Emergency Restoration assignment.
