About The Position

Nelson-Young Lumber Company seeks a full-time Estimator/Inside Salesperson for our Evansville location. The role combines construction estimating (70%) with customer service and inside sales (30%) to help customers identify, price, and order project materials.

Requirements

• Building-product knowledge; one year of industry experience
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Willingness to learn estimating and business technology.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to build relationships with customers, vendors.
• Dependable work habits.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, calculate quantities, and prepare accurate estimates.
• Understand customers' project needs.
• Answer customer product questions.
• Answer calls.
• Verify order accuracy and coordinate delivery.
