Morgridge Hall is a state-of-the-art facility at the heart of the new College of Computing and Artificial Intelligence (CAI). This role is central to ensuring that our building, its systems, and its occupants are supported every day. Key tasks of this role include serving as the primary point of contact for all building-related issues, managing all building activities including determining, scheduling, and overseeing repairs, and serving as the main CAI point of contact for various university departments and external contractors. The role also involves submitting work orders, managing a budget, communicating building updates, serving as the Unit Transportation Coordinator, supporting building access, keys, and card permissions, assisting with space planning and event setup, and acting as the primary contact for emergency response and safety drills. Additionally, the Building Manager will maintain internal building systems for room reservations and keep communication and information about building maintenance and systems up to date on the Morgridge Hall Knowledge Base. Due to the nature of facility management, this job will require the ability to be on call for activities and emergencies that occur outside a normal 40-hour business day schedule, sharing responsibility for emergency on-call duties and flexing work hours to accommodate evening or weekend hours.
