About The Position

The Building Maintenance position supports the safe, reliable, and effective operation of the company’s main headquarters facility. This hands-on role performs preventive, routine, and corrective building maintenance, coordinates service vendors when needed, and tracks work through completion.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • At least two years of experience using task-tracking or work-order systems.
  • General building, facilities, maintenance, handyman, or related security-facilities experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform hands-on repairs and use common hand and power tools, including drills, hammers, and wrenches.
  • Ability to identify maintenance issues, take apart equipment or fixtures when appropriate, and replace defective parts.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of autonomy while communicating effectively with the manager and other stakeholders.
  • Professional presentation and attitude.
  • Ability to maintain focus and follow work through to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance throughout the building.
  • Troubleshoot and complete general facility repairs, including doors, fixtures, furniture, mounted equipment, and other building components.
  • Complete hands-on tasks such as mounting televisions, using drills and other hand or power tools, and making minor carpentry, masonry, and grounds repairs.
  • Respond to maintenance requests, prioritize tasks, and track work through completion.
  • Conduct facility inspections and make adjustments or repairs as needed.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for maintenance and repair work that requires specialized support.
  • Maintain clear records of completed work and outstanding facility needs.
  • Work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make recommendations for repairs or improvements.
  • Participate in company safety, health, and environmental programs.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
