About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support a fast-paced 3PL warehouse environment in our Edison, NJ location. This role is essential to keeping our facility, equipment, and operations running safely and efficiently so customer shipments move without delay. The position is hands-on and highly varied, with a strong focus on carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance, along with support for light mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems within a warehouse setting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar skilled trades role.
  • Strong hands-on experience in carpentry, painting, and general facility maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse system including racking, dock doors, lighting, and basic equipment repair.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast- paced, operational setting.
  • Strong communication skills and basic computer/email proficiency.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as operational needs require.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned work orders to support daily warehouse operations, including repairs, maintenance, and facility improvements.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on building systems and warehouse equipment to reduce downtime.
  • Support repairs and upkeep of warehouse infrastructure, including racking, overhead doors, lighting, and dock equipment.
  • Perform light commercial plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical maintenance as needed.
  • Assist with larger repair and improvement projects alongside maintenance team members and leadership.
  • Conduct routine building walkthroughs at the start and end of shifts to identify issues.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and supply inventory; assist with tracking and documentation.
  • Use maintenance managements systems to log work performed, updates, and observations.
  • Communicate facility issues and status updates clearly to supervisors and team members.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and warehouse operational standards.
  • Safely and effectively use hand tools, power tolls, and warehouse equipment.
  • Support general facility upkeep including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.
  • Assist with shipping/ receiving and warehouse support tasks when needed.
  • Participate in evening, weekend, and rotational coverage as required.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
