Building Maintenance Worker
About The Position
Keep Sioux Falls Running - one building at a time. The City of Sioux Falls is hiring a Building Maintenance Worker to help maintain the facilities our community depends on every day. This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance and custodial professional who takes pride in quality work, enjoys being part of a team, and is able to keep work moving whether working independently or alongside others. You will perform semi-skilled and skilled building maintenance and work orders, including cleaning, general maintenance, and general repair of City buildings, systems, and equipment.
Requirements
- Graduation from high school or GED certification
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in custodial and building maintenance work, including minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license prior to hire is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform semi-skilled and skilled building maintenance and work orders, including cleaning, general maintenance, and general repair of City buildings, systems, and equipment.
- Willing to work standby duty for building security systems, HVAC/R, and maintenance alerts.
