About The Position

This position is responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance of the building and grounds to ensure the neatness and cleanliness of the property assigned. The role involves performing routine repairs and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and vehicles, including minor plumbing and carpentry work, as well as routine grounds keeping to ensure the beautification of the landscape. The position operates under the general supervision of the Facilities & Property Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D.
Valid State Driver’s License.
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Ability to perform heavy lifting.
Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects.
Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.

Responsibilities

Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, and replenishing supplies.
Performs routine building maintenance activities.
Performs minor plumbing repairs such as fixing leaking faucets and unclogging toilets.
Performs carpentry work to repair dents and/or holes in walls and paints walls.
Sweeps, vacuums, mops, buffs, and waxes floors.
Keeps sidewalks clean and free of debris.
Assists the Facilities and Property Manager with major, more complex repairs and maintenance.
Drives a vehicle to pick up materials and repair items needed for maintenance work.
Performs routine grounds keeping work to ensure the beautification of the landscape.
