About The Position

MMS Group is seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Technician for a 88-unit residential property located in Brunswick, GA. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance operations related to apartment home upkeep and unit turns.

Requirements

  • Three+ years of residential multifamily property management/apartment maintenance.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Fire Safety certification
  • Possession of basic tools needed to perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Physical aspects of the job may require heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, balancing, and carrying.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain residential apartment homes and other areas on the property, including building exteriors, interiors, and public areas, regularly.
  • Perform small appliance, plumbing, electrical, and other repairs in residential apartments and other areas of the property.
  • Install tile and laminate flooring.
  • Take part in the on-call rotation schedule, responding to emergency calls according to the company's policy on after-hour emergency calls.
  • Manage the turnover of empty apartment units, including repairs (e.g., sheetrock, taping, sanding, painting, and fixing doors, windows, light fixtures, etc.).
  • Perform other duties as outlined in the job description.
