About The Position

The Building Maintenance Technician HVAC assists with building operations and repairs. The role evaluates mechanical equipment, repairs or replaces building components, responds to service requests, conducts preventive maintenance, ensures building programming functions properly, and evaluates reports and paperwork. The technician observes and inspects assigned heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment to determine operating status and makes repairs as needed. The position also recommends equipment upgrades, maintains and repairs commercial food service equipment, repairs or replaces plumbing equipment, provides cost analysis figures for equipment repairs, and updates and maintains databases and files. Other duties may be assigned. The position is in the Sheriff Strategic Services Division and is an individual contributor role. It is scheduled for 40 hours per week. Starting pay is $29.76 per hour, with top-out pay of $44.64 after years of service. The job posting closes continuously; the application deadline listed is November 8, 2026.

Requirements

Minimum three years of work experience.
