About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a Building Maintenance Tech for the Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center in Westlake, Texas. This is a full-time position responsible for completing general maintenance requests submitted by guests and employees, performing various work order tasks, and preventative maintenance on spaces and equipment. The role involves interacting with guests and employees, identifying and resolving maintenance issues, maintaining logs, and ensuring a safe and efficient workspace. Training is provided for the maintenance request system and other tasks.

Requirements

  • One year of experience in maintenance required (e.g., hotels, home repair, hospitals, office repair, or apartment complex repairs).
  • Skilled with using hand, power, and diagnostic tools.
  • Experience in minor wallpaper and vinyl repair.
  • Experience in repairing and painting drywall, wood, metal, and other surfaces using rollers and brushes.
  • Experience in repairing tile and grout.
  • Experience in refinishing woodwork requiring staining, varnishing, and lacquering.
  • Basic plumbing repairs.
  • Basic electrical repairs.
  • Ability to communicate both written and verbally in English due to guest contact.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Texas Driver's License with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Completes maintenance requests submitted by guests or employees for general maintenance issues within the hotel, such as toilet issues, sink drains, hot water issues, touch-up paint, and light bulb replacement.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and maintains logs in an organized manner.
  • Identifies problems, initiates work orders, accomplishes assigned work orders, and performs necessary repairs relating to their expertise.
  • Performs duty rounds using daily checklists and reports on/corrects noted problems.
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and efficient workspace.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory of tools in use.
  • Works in a safe manner, including proper use of PPE and following safety protocols.
  • Responsible for correct use of the maintenance request system.
  • Assists with maintenance requests for other trades, as needed.
