About The Position

As a Building Maintenance Professional, you will perform a variety of manual tasks and duties to maintain the appearance of the dealership. This role involves interior and exterior cleaning, landscaping, grounds maintenance, and basic repairs.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Work-related experience in one or more of the specified areas.
Experience cleaning business or automobile dealerships.
Skill to operate basic cleaning equipment.
Problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
Some mechanical aptitude.
Ability to follow oral and written directions.
Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of the job (lift 50-100 lbs).
Ability to maintain schedules and records as needed.
Possession of a valid driver’s license.
Ability to maintain a positive and cooperative working relationship with the dealership.
Ability to work effectively individually.
Ability to follow through and carry out assignments.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing and to take instructions.
Ability to express ideas effectively.

Responsibilities

Perform interior and exterior cleaning, including landscaping and grounds maintenance.
Maintain all types of flooring and stairways (sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming).
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including fixtures and partitions.
Clean and maintain various spaces like offices, meeting rooms, and common areas, including windows, walls, furniture, carpeting, and appliances.
Follow proper methods, safe use of materials and equipment, and all safety regulations.
Perform snow removal, potentially using machines.
Empty wastebaskets and recycle containers.
Care for equipment and supplies, including changing filters and belts on vacuums, cleaning equipment basins, changing filters and tubing, and communicating any issues.
Maintain an inventory and requisition supplies.
Collect litter and debris.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Change cleaning patterns based on cleaning needs.
Perform vacuuming, touch-up cleaning, and trash removal before and after events.
Conduct project cleaning, including wood care, floor care (stripping, waxing), carpet care (shampooing, extracting), upholstery care, deep cleaning of ceramic tile and grouting.
Perform general custodial tasks, such as driving company fleet vehicles, routine servicing of cleaning equipment, installation of dispensers and hardware.
Perform basic repairs to furniture and property, including paint touch-ups and drywall repair.
