About The Position

The Building Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for carrying out maintenance duties at Colonial Electric Supply’s King of Prussia location. The role reports to the Facilities Manager and works with the Facilities Manager and Director of Operations to ensure assigned work is completed correctly and on time. The position is full-time and on-site, with a stated schedule of Monday through Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The employee may be required to work outside normal hours.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 2 years of experience.
Basic familiarity with the repair and maintenance of small motor machines.
Ability to manage time effectively.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and to bend, kneel, stoop, and lift or move heavy equipment.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, manuals, and other documents.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems, including relevant equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

Perform routine building maintenance, including painting and minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and maintenance of heating and ventilation systems.
Clean the building interior and exterior, as well as machinery and equipment.
Complete administrative duties, including filling out forms and reporting maintenance status to the supervisor.
Comply with safety and health regulations.
Maintain an inventory of maintenance and cleaning supplies and equipment, and report supply needs to the supervisor.
Respond to emergency maintenance and repair calls.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
Work with contracted vendors and maintain those relationships.
