Requirements
- High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent, AND three years of related construction experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to obtain the knowledge and skill to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
- California Drivers License
- Must obtain Certification in one (1) of the following categories within twelve (12) months of initial appointment: International Code Council (ICC) Certification in one or more of the following categories: Building Inspector, Electrical Inspector, Mechanical Inspector, Plumbing Inspector OR Office of State Health Planning and Development (OSHPD), Class A Certification.
Responsibilities
- Assess applicant's knowledge of construction trades.
- Assess applicant's knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
- Assess applicant's knowledge of safe work practices and other related topics.
