Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field is a plus
Strong attention to detail and observational skills
Basic understanding of building codes and construction practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Willingness to learn and develop within the field
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

Conduct inspections of building structures to ensure compliance with codes and regulations
Document inspection findings and provide feedback to contractors and builders
Collaborate with architects and engineers on project specifications
Review construction plans for accuracy and code compliance
Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate records
Stay updated on building codes and regulations
Assist senior inspectors with complex inspections
Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including clients and city officials
