As a Full-Time Building Inspector I, II, or III at American Fork City, you will engage in a range of entry-level and para-professional technical duties focused on conducting site inspections for residential, commercial, and industrial structures. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure compliance with established city and state building codes, guaranteeing safety and quality within our community. This role involves assessing the integrity of construction projects, identifying potential issues, and providing valuable feedback to builders and developers. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
2-3 years of experience in construction or a related field.
Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
Must hold at least two (2) ICC certifications.
Must hold a State of Utah Limited Inspector certification.
Ability to complete two additional ICC certifications (e.g., electrical, building, mechanical, or plumbing) within 12 months of hire.
Proficiency in utilizing inspection software and tools.
Effective communication skills.
