About The Position

Inspects residential buildings and plans for compliance with the County building, mechanical, and zoning codes.

Graduation from high school or successful completion of the equivalent GED.
Any equivalent combination of experience, education and training which ensures the ability to perform the work may substitute for the above.
Must possess the following Oregon Certificates: Oregon Inspector Certification (OIC), Residential Inspector Certification (CAS), Residential Plans Examiner Certification (CAX), Residential Plumbing Inspector (CAP) and A Level Structural Inspector (SIA) at time of hire.
Must have the ability to obtain A Level Plans Examiner (PEA) Certification within 12 months of hire.
Possession of valid Oregon driver's license at time of appointment.

Preference given to those who also possess State of Oregon Certificates for, A Level Electrical Inspector, A level Mechanical Inspector (MIA) or A Level Plumbing Inspector.
