About The Position
The Grounds Keeper is responsible for the general maintenance and appearance of the property surrounding the buildings at this facility, while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Requirements
- Must be motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be flexible and able to manage multiple tasks
- Must have current and valid driver’s license
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions
- Must be willing to work from Monday thru Friday, weekend work may be required
- Able to tolerate exposure to various outdoor weather conditions
- Able to wear required steel toe boots and other required PPE
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. periodically
- Must be physically able to perform demanding tasks
- Willing and able to use various types of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Have the ability to work from a ladder or lift

Responsibilities
- Pick up trash
- Empty trash receptacles
- Use scrubber to clean the floors
- Rake leaves
- Paint at heights using ladders and lifts
- Trim hedges
- Maintain shrubbery
- Plant flowers
- Trim trees
- Sidewalk snow removal
- Salt sidewalks, when necessary
- Perform general maintenance on grounds equipment
- Able to use basic yard tools and lawn equipment (hedge trimmer, weed wacker, leaf vac, leaf blower)
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
