About The Position

In-N-Out Burger is hiring a full-time Building & Grounds Specialist for its Store Facilities department, based in Baldwin Park, California. The role plans and executes multiple time-sensitive exterior facility maintenance and repair projects, both as an individual contributor and with outside subcontractors. Projects include asphalt parking lot seal coating and striping, asphalt repairs, potholes, truncated dome repairs, ADA issues, crack chasing, and concrete repairs. The position also involves coordinating outside vendors, reading blueprints and specifications, and working with estimates, job costs, and schedules. The schedule alternates between office hours in Baldwin Park—Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.—and nighttime hours. The role requires approximately 50% travel across California, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Tennessee, as well as night and weekend availability when necessary. Requirements

At least three years of experience maintaining asphalt and concrete parking lots.
Experience supporting independent contractors (vendors) and project supervisors to achieve timely parking lot maintenance.
Experience with asphalt maintenance products, grading, drainage, soils, concrete, asphalt, and waterproofing.
Trade skills in excavation, fine grading, plumbing, electrical, and concrete finishing.
Strong knowledge of concrete and asphalt materials.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to read and interpret construction and engineering drawings.
Strong communication skills and excellent telephone skills.
Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Availability for approximately 50% travel and for night and weekend work as necessary.

Responsibilities

Oversee exterior facility maintenance projects, including asphalt parking lot seal coating and striping programs, asphalt repairs, potholes, truncated dome repairs, ADA issues, crack chasing, and concrete repairs.
Execute multiple time-sensitive construction projects using outside vendors.
Read and follow blueprints and specifications.
Work with contract estimating, job costing, and scheduling.
Develop and maintain strong vendor and interdepartmental relationships.
Support independent contractors and project supervisors in completing parking lot maintenance in a timely manner.
