Requirements

General building repairs and maintenance
Computer software skills
Basic mathematical skills are required (must be able to convert US to metric, read a tape measure, caliper and micrometer)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Clear communication abilities (written and verbal)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
The ideal candidate will be proactive and dynamic, flexible and receptive to new ideas, down to earth and pragmatic, analytical and attentive to detail.
He or she will also be capable of working independently in adherence to regulations, of managing stress and remaining calm under pressure, and be able to demonstrate an inquiring mind and well-developed observational skills.

Responsibilities

Painting of buildings and related equipment as needed
Abilities in carpentry and drywall
Abilities in masonry must possess skills necessary to repair tile walls and floors
Performs all small utility jobs as deemed necessary to support proper building maintenance.
Knowledge of some of the maintenance routines
Fills in for regular maintenance mechanics in the event of vacation or sickness
Ability to do floor repairs using modern epoxy technology
Attends departmental meetings as required
Performs all duties according to safety standards and as required to ensure the general safety of other staff
