The Building Engineer is responsible for the operation, replacement, repair, and maintenance of building-related mechanical, electrical, control systems, plumbing, air handling units, pumps, heat exchangers, expansion joints, and other building mechanical systems. This role involves lifting heavy mechanical equipment, potentially working in extreme heat, cold, and/or noisy environments. The Building Engineer receives and responds to service calls, takes immediate action to resolve emergency situations or system breakdowns, and ensures all preventive maintenance is completed and necessary repairs are made. They are responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area and ensuring managed/generated utilities meet delivery specifications. The role also involves overseeing contractors and routine/preventative maintenance work to ensure it's performed appropriately and safely. Communication with ISS and Customer operations management teams, tenants/utility system end users, and Business Unit Stakeholders is essential. A Journeyman Craftsman skillset is required.
