About The Position

Join JLL's Atlanta facility operations team as a Building Engineer, where you will play a critical role in maintaining safe, efficient, and high-performing building systems. This position focuses on ensuring seamless facility operations through proactive maintenance, emergency response, and contractor oversight. Your technical expertise will directly support JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional client environments and upholding our operational excellence standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • 3+ years of experience in general building repair and maintenance
  • Basic computer skills for CMMS documentation and operational systems
  • Physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and use ladders safely
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude with proficiency in hand tools, power tools, and related equipment
  • Ability to recognize danger and safety hazards and propose elimination methods

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an applicable technical training program
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Familiarity with life safety systems and codes
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs

Responsibilities

  • Perform and direct assigned maintenance service requests, ensuring efficient completion of work across all facility systems
  • Maintain and monitor life safety systems including generators, fire panels, sprinklers, and audio/visual devices
  • Execute building and equipment maintenance, including lighting system repairs, plumbing and electrical work, HVAC coil cleaning, filter changes, and belt replacements
  • Supervise and monitor contractor performance to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed to standard
  • Respond to emergency repairs and perform preventative maintenance routines according to established schedules
  • Move machinery, equipment, and materials as requested to support facility operations
  • Document all work performance and materials procurement in the CMMS system to maintain accurate facility records
