About The Position

We're hiring a Building Engineer/Maintenance Technician to keep the buildings and systems across our managed properties running safely and reliably. You'll handle preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections on building systems, respond to work orders, and coordinate with specialty vendors on larger repairs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of building maintenance experience; multifamily, resort, or HOA property experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Comfortable performing general repairs and light carpentry
  • Able to prioritize and complete work orders with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC or trade certification a plus, or willingness to obtain one
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and pool/spa equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues as they come up
  • Complete general building repairs — doors, locks, drywall, paint, fixtures, and similar
  • Perform light carpentry and handyman-level repairs as needed
  • Respond to and close out resident/owner maintenance requests in a timely manner
  • Conduct routine building and common-area inspections; log and report deficiencies
  • Track recurring maintenance items (filters, life-safety equipment, pool chemicals) on a set schedule
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and repair records
  • Coordinate with specialty vendors (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevator, pool) on repairs beyond in-house scope
  • Escort and oversee vendors on-site to confirm work is completed correctly
  • Communicate maintenance status, urgent issues, and completed work to the Property Manager
  • Maintain an organized inventory of tools, parts, and supplies
