About The Position

The New Hope Learning Center is seeking a Part-Time Second Shift Building Custodian. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of assigned areas, setting up rooms for events, and ensuring the proper care and cleaning of equipment and the workplace. The role requires efficient use of work time and fiscal responsibility regarding supplies, utilities, and the environment. This is a 52-week per year position with specific shift hours that vary between the regular school year and summer.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Sufficient reading skills to read material data sheets.
Able to attend work regularly and report to work in a timely manner.
Work alone in situations using ladders of various lengths, equipment and chemicals, which can be hazardous when not properly handled, and on rooftops.
Assist in loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of cleaning products, procedures and equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

Reports to the head day/night custodian, facilities Program Director and Director of Buildings and Grounds.
Maintains cleanliness of assigned area utilizing the proper equipment and supplies for each task.
Sets up rooms for conferences, classes and special events.
Provides proper care and cleaning of equipment, tools and the work place.
Complies with established timelines and quality completion of tasks.
Uses work time efficiently and effectively.
Practices fiscal responsibility related to methods, supplies, equipment, recycling, utilities and the environment.
Other duties as assigned.
