About The Position

New Hope Learning Center is seeking a Second Shift Building Custodian. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of assigned areas, setting up rooms for events, and providing care for equipment and the workplace. The role emphasizes fiscal responsibility and efficient use of work time. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with hours subject to change based on district needs. This is a 52-week position with 8.5 hours per shift, including a 30-minute unpaid meal break.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Sufficient reading skills to read material data sheets.
Able to attend work regularly and report to work in a timely manner.
Work alone in situations using ladders of various lengths, equipment and chemicals, which can be hazardous when not properly handled, and on rooftops.
Assist in loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of cleaning products, procedures and equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintains cleanliness of assigned area utilizing the proper equipment and supplies for each task.
Sets up rooms for conferences, classes and special events.
Provides proper care and cleaning of equipment, tools and the work place.
Complies with established timelines and quality completion of tasks.
Uses work time efficiently and effectively.
Practices fiscal responsibility related to methods, supplies, equipment, recycling, utilities and the environment.
Other duties as assigned.
